Mothers keep secrets and do not always tell what they’re thinking. Mothers hold back judgments and keep sentiments to themselves, to keep the peace. Mothers conspire to be easy on the children when fathers are being forceful by disciplining. Mothers play tricks like adding an extra cookie in the lunch bag (this was in my day). Mothers hold onto money and take it out when it’s time to show mercy. Mother, I know you know what you’re doing when you say, “that child gets on my last nerve.” What you’re really saying is, “leave my child alone!” Since the beginning of time, mothers have been the doorway to mercy.
Thank you mothers so very much. We love you all! Bishop
