I always believed God has a core of devoted souls whose faith transcends time, places and practices. Their knowledge, awareness and love for God---the sense of alienation to the world describes them only as God’s possession.
The fate of the world is in their security. Their witness makes God real to all humanity. Their intercessions preserve society and their love for God is essentially the reason behind all their worship and praise.
This nebulous core of believers is made of some of the most unlikely people. As a matter of fact, the leaders of religion are not necessarily a part of the core. This groups prays to God to have mercy on church leaders and the direction of the world.
This remnant is not easily identifiable. They do not announce themselves or their activities, but they do God’s work. They constantly cry out to God for the salvation of the earth. The government takes the wrong direction or the wrong leader comes into power, then they intercede. They pray. The call upon the Lord for answers. God hears them. Change happens.
